Family & Community Health Sciences
Staying healthy, raising healthy children, and eating right are the focus of Family and Community Health Sciences (FCHS) outreach programs. The FCHS program provides research-based information on food, nutrition, fitness, health, and food safety. Each year FCHS provides classes, workshops and exhibits; sends out Visions and County Visions, the FCHS department newsletter; and reaches about 26,000 households with a monthly newspaper column in the Sunday New Jersey Herald. Our goal is to improve the health of New Jersey individuals, families, and communities.
